An Afternoon of Leadership
Pretty Deadly founder Susie Kahlich and martial arts colleague Julia Brasch worked with Girls Gearing Up! in Berlin for their annual Leadership Academy week. GGU's Leadership Academy brings together aspiring teen leaders from all over the world for an intensive week of learning, inspiration, and friendships in Germany, Ghana, India and Malawi.
The day began with an interview about leadership and empowerment led by two of the teen participants, followed by a 90-minute session with about 50 girls and women on the sports field at Berlin Brandenburg International School.
Girls Gearing Up! is a nonprofit building an international coalition of girls empowered to make a difference, whose collective actions will create a more sustainable and equitable world.
Pretty Deadly looks forward to many more collaborations with this powerful and empowering initiative.
